Head of Lhoksukon Prison Explains Prison Conditions After Floods Hit North Aceh

Head of Class IIB Lhoksukon Penitentiary, Yusnaidi, together with the North Aceh Regional Leadership Coordination Forum welcomed the arrival of the Aceh Regional Police Chief (Kapolda), Inspector General Ahmad Haydar, and Member of the Indonesian House of Representatives from the PKS Faction, M. Nasir Djamil, Tuesday (4/1/). The two visited to see firsthand the flood conditions in the North Aceh region and the residents affected by the flood in the capital city of Lhoksukon.

The Head of the Penitentiary conveyed to the Aceh Police Chief and Member of the Indonesian House of Representatives that during the flood disaster, the Lhoksukon Penitentiary was in a safe and conducive condition. “Clean water services, food and health services did not experience significant obstacles. The situation in the Penitentiary is also still under control,” said Yusnaidi.

Until now, the flood water is no longer in the Penitentiary, but water is still inundating the area in front of the Penitentiary with a height of ±50 cm. Previously, the flood that hit the capital city of North Aceh in Lhoksukon City occurred after several days of heavy rain.

On that occasion, the Head of the Prison expressed his gratitude to all parties who had cared about the flood disaster in Lhoksukon. He also appreciated all Lhoksukon Prison officers who had worked extra during the flood.

“Thanks to the hard work and patience of all officers in dealing with the flood disaster in Lhoksukon, the condition of the Prison remains safe and under control without any significant obstacles,” said Yusnaidi.

The visit of the Aceh Police Chief and Member of the Indonesian House of Representatives was also accompanied by the Regent of North Aceh, the Commander of the 011/Lilawangsa Military Resort, the Commander of the North Aceh Military Region, the Chief of the North Aceh Police Resort, the Head of the Lhoksukon District Attorney’s Office, and other North Aceh officials. https://pafikotalhoksukon.org/
